eP 50 is an enviPath product for predicting environmental half‑lives (DT50) in soil of chemical compounds and their transformation products. It provides automated persistence estimates based on the method by Salz et al., enabling consistent and scientifically grounded predictions for parent substances as well as metabolites. The model is designed to support environmental risk assessment by making half‑life information readily available alongside biotransformation pathways.

The half‑life prediction is fully integrated into the enviPath pathway workflow. When a pathway prediction is performed using the appropriate predictor, DT50 values are calculated automatically and displayed directly within the pathway visualization. Predicted half‑lives can be explored interactively by enabling predicted properties and hovering over individual pathway nodes, allowing users to quickly assess persistence across entire transformation cascades.
In addition to pathway‑based analysis, eP 50 can be used as a standalone model through the enviPath Model Page. Users can submit compounds directly via SMILES input and obtain half‑life predictions without running a full pathway simulation. This flexibility makes eP 50 suitable both for rapid screening tasks and for detailed pathway‑centric assessments within enviPath.
